Pro Bono

Specific Responsibilities

  • Advance the vision of the Pro Bono initiative to the chapter
  • Recruit and coordinate members of the Pro Bono Committee and sub committees for concentration in efforts
  • Coordinate and run Pro Bono meetings (bi-monthly meetings or as event frequency demands)
  • Maintain communication on behalf of the Pro Bono Committee while serving on the board of FPA DFW
  • Serve as the chapter Pro Bono resource by acting as a point person for questions and collaborative efforts
  • Attend monthly board meetings, chapter meetings and chapter activities
  • Attend the Regional Conference
  • Ensure that a committee member is in place to chair Pro Bono activities, including coordination of Pro Bono volunteers and other programs outlined in the chapter strategic plan
  • The committee member in place to chair Pro Bono activities should be a CFP
  • Coordinate submittal of articles for the chapter newsletter about Pro Bono activities and activities
  • Target one article per chapter newsletter regarding recent activity
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the local chapter(s) of the American Red Cross and other non-profit organizations as applicable
  • Support the Pro Bono efforts of FPA DFW chapter members
  • Develop the Pro Bono annual budget
  • Ensure attainment of Chapter Gold Level initiatives relating to Pro Bono
