Steven Ryder is the President and Founder of True North Networks, LLC. True North is a leading national provider of managed hosting, technology and security services within the financial services industry. In 2015, True North launched SecureWorkplace®, a suite of cybersecurity services designed to reduce the likelihood of a successful cyber-attack on their clients. Prior to starting True North, Mr. Ryder worked in the financial services industry serving as Vice President of two banks, managing relationships with Fannie Mae’s largest New England

clients, and was the CFO of the largest real estate company in New Hampshire. Steven speaks at varies venues throughout the country each year on cybersecurity.

Matthew H. Meade is the co-chair of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Cybersecurity and Data Protection Group. He regularly assists clients with breach response, information and records management and other areas regarding data security. He has helped retailers, hospitality providers, educational institutions, investment advisors, banks, energy companies, county governments, law firms, a fraternal society and health care providers craft strategies and policies to keep their data safe and respond to cyber security incidents including providing assistance with investigations, communication with law enforcement, and notification to impacted individuals and appropriate regulators. He helps clients identify business risks associated with the use and storage of sensitive information. Matt regularly advises clients on security breach notification laws and other U.S. state and federal data security requirements (including laws regarding disposal of records). Matt drafts agreements and policies and procedures addressing issues related to data use, privacy and security and conducts training sessions related to the policies. He also has prepared document retention and management policies and developed associated training programs. Matt serves on the Steering Committee for the Sedona Conference Working Group 11 on Data Security and Privacy Liability, which brings “together lawyers, judges, policy makers, security experts, technologists and business leaders to identify and develop principles and best practices that will constructively resolve issues surrounding data security and privacy liability.” Matt speaks and writes regularly on data security and is a co-chair of the ABA’s Second Annual National Institute on Cybersecurity.

 

 

 

TROY KELLY

Troy Kelly is the Director of Services for CyTech Services, Incorporated. He currently leads a team performing Incident Response, Computer Intrusions Analysis, and Malware Reverse Engineering for all of CyTech’s customers, and specializes in determining the functionality of malicious code and analysis of affected operating systems. Mr. Kelly is an experienced digital forensic analyst, having successfully conducted analysis and reporting duties in support of the US intelligence community and various federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, including DoD, DEA, CIA, DoT, FAA, DoED and FBI. Mr. Kelly has experience in the digital forensic analysis of general crime, drug crime, sex crime, fraud, forgery, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, malware analysis, and computer intrusion. In his current role, Mr. Kelly also oversees CyTech’s mission of performing customer security controls compliance reviews using both NIST SP 800 and international 27000 series standards. Mr. Kelly has an extensive background in computers, data analysis, and signals intelligence, having served in the United States Navy for 14 years as a Cryptologic Technician. His military duties included installing, configuring, maintaining, and operating various networked computer systems; recovering, analyzing, correlating, and reporting on signals of interest and computer networking information; and the recovery, reverse engineering, and analysis of raw data from various types of digital media. Additionally, Mr. Kelly has experience in personnel and contract program management throughout his career.
