Qualifications/Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily Activities:

  • Provide Oversight for:
    • Trades, contributions, withdrawals, transfers
    • Performance reporting activities
    • Money manager activity
    • Investment partnership activity
    • Custody relationships
      • Account Openings & Maintenance
      • 1099 Distributiond
  • Manage and delegate work to analysts
 
Monthly and Quarterly Activities
  • Prepare Advent extract for Partner investor allocations
  • Schedule the release of quarterly client performance reports
  • Review and approve reconciliation reports between the custodial statements and portfolio accounting system
  • Work with Investment Team to consolidate and execute partnership level transactions
  • Work with Advisory Team to consolidate and execute investor level partnership transactions.
Ongoing Activities:
  • Manage data within the Portfolio Accounting System relative to:
    • Daily Pricing
    • Realized gains/losses
    • Foreign stock exchanges
    • Deemed sales
    • Tax Basis
    • Transactions
    • Performance
  • Administer Portfolio Accounting System (Advent) user accounts
  • Administer Custodian (Pershing) platform user accounts
  • Coordinate training on platforms
  • Perform investment account administration
    • prepare brokerage account application
    • Partnership agreements
    • transfers of securities
    • coordinate wire transfers
    • assist in reconciliation of securities trading activities)
  • Reconcile tax basis information
  • Develop and document procedures and methodology
 Skill Set and Experience Requirements:
  • Experience (3+ years) with Advent Axys, Advent Partner or substantially similar technology
  • Knowledge and understanding of investments/securities operations and the delivery of professional client services (account maintenance, trading, ACATs, transfers, wires)
  • Thorough understanding of performance calculations and related mathematics (Internal Rate of Return, Time Weighted Return)
  • Experience leading a team of directly reporting staff as well as outsourced partners
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Willingness to learn, expand responsibility
  • Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality in dealing with client matters
  • Ability to “multi-task”, manage several projects at one time
