The FPA is sponsoring a day at Finance Park and we’d love for you to join us! We started participating as a group in 2015, and it has been such a great experience that we are excited to host this once again. It will be a great opportunity to give back in a really easy and fun way while also spending time with fellow FPA members. Prior JA experience and training is NOT necessary. Lunch will be provided for volunteers!

CLICK HERE for a high level overview and FAQ of the day at the park. This will provide a little insight to how the day flows and what types of conversations you’ll have with the students. Do not worry; you’re never on your own – even after the training. A JAFP staff person will guide the whole day telling volunteers what to do each stage and what to discuss. However, we want you to bring you own financial knowledge to your table. You might say, “I bring my lunch to work every day and by doing so, save X amount of money every month.” or “I have a 401K and know by a certain age, I’ll be able to retire.” The students will have had 12 lessons in the classroom before coming to the park, centered on income, taxes, savings, credit/debit cards, budgeting. You’re there to show them what they learned is legit, and how it’s applied to daily life, just by talking about your own.
