FPA DFW Mentor Program Presents: Panel of Pioneers
The FPA DFW Mentor Program would like to invite you to join us for our upcoming Panel of Pioneers event in conjunction with the FPA DFW Allied Professional Networking Event on August 19th.
This program is especially beneficial to those planners early in their career, from young professionals to career changers, as well as anyone interested in hearing from three of the pioneers of our profession.

Meet the Panelists:

Bill Carter, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC
President, Carter Financial Management

Bill began his financial planning career in 1973, opened his own firm in 1976, and formed Carter Advisory Services in 1980. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Bill received a Bachelor of Science degree, was student body president, and was a distinguished military graduate. Always looking to continue his professional growth, Bill received his CFP® designation in 1976, his CLU® in 1985, and his ChFC® in 1986. Bill has served on numerous advisory boards for organizations, both local and national. Bill’s honors include a “Rising Star of Texas” by Texas Business Magazine and an honorary professorship at Baylor University Hankamer School of Business.

Richard Lee, Jr., CFP®, CFA
President, Lee Financial Corporation
Richard helped found Lee Financial Corporation in 1975 as one of the first fee-only financial advisory firms in Texas. Richard received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas in Austin and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972 – including a tour in Vietnam as an infantry platoon leader. Richard currently serves on the Board of several public and private companies. He is an active member of the CFA Institute, the Financial Planning Association, and is a charter member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. In 2007, Richard received the Robert J. Underwood award from the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. This is a life time achievement award recognizing a significant contribution to the advancement of the practice of fee-only financial planning and advising.

Charles 'Chuck' Thoele, MS, CPA, CFA, CFP®
Managing Director, Robertson, Griege & Thoele
Chuck has a broad-based understanding of all aspects of financial planning and investing which he has gained through 28 years of experience. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Texas at Arlington. Chuck’s experience has been in accounting, life insurance with a focus in estate strategies, and since 1991, as a part of Robertson, Griege and Thoele. Chuck serves on the advisory boards of several community and religious councils as well as a locally based energy finance company. He has been quoted in several local and national publications and has been a regular guest on a Dallas based business radio program.In 2009, Chuck was named to the Texas Monthly Five Star List for best in client satisfaction for wealth managers in the category of Investments.
